1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
We are all tempted, but we don't all eventually transgress. We all struggle, but we need not sin. In our fight with temptation we often feel alone, but we are not.
Out text reminds us that others encounter the same temptations that we face and the Lord enables all of us to endure every onslaught of every temptation. Here we find the failsafe that will empower us to escape temptation.
In our battle with temptation it is imperative that we consider our facsimile to the saints and our faithful Sovereign.
When tempted we must understand
Our Facsimile to the Saints
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man.
Our Faithful Sovereign
We find in the text that when tempted God is faithful to
God is faithful,he will
Control the Environment of Temptation
not let you be tempted beyond your ability
Create an Exit from Temptation
but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape
Cultivate Endurance throughout the Temptation
that you may be able to endure it.
