Outline Week 30


Habakkuk 3:17-19

Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. GOD, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places.


No matter what may befall us, we can trust in the Lord. We can find a solution in the midst of our staggering struggle when we consider


The Believer's Ravagements

Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, There are a myriad of difficulties that we will face in our faith journey.


The Believer's Resolve

yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.

Our posture needs to be one of praise not pity.


The Believer's Reasoning

Salvation from the Lord . . . in the God of my salvation.

Strength from the Lord GOD, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places.

We can find the hope of salvation and strength from the Lord in the midst of our hardest days and darkest nights.
