We have had our 4 year old granddaughter in several private swim lessons and a group swim lesson with barely noticeable improvement in swimming
I ran into Buddy Young with Panhandle Swim School and asked him about swim lessons and we signed up our granddaughter
She has made more progress with Buddy in 3 half hour lessons than she has with all previous lessons combined. His methods are very effective and he has a knack for keeping an active four year old focused. We highly recommend Buddy Young to parents (or grandparents) looking for children’s swim lessons.

Coach Young is a wonderful swim instructor and role model. Both of my children joined his swim club when they were young and quickly fell in love with swimming through his encouraging style of coaching and enthusiasm.
He was always uplifting while reinforcing the importance of building a good foundation of stroke technique and work ethic at an early age. My kiddos have gone on to compete competitively and Buddy keeps in touch and continues to celebrate our kids’ swimming successes. I would highly recommend him as a coach and swim instructor and contribute a lot of our swimming success to the strong foundation instilled through Coach Young.

I strongly recommend Dr. Buddy Young as a swim coach to anyone who wants to learn proper swim technique. My son, Mark, expressed an interest in swimming at the age of 10. We were fortunate that Dr. Young was leading a community swim team in Canyon at the time. Mark learned proper stroke techniques under Dr. Young’s guidance and successfully competed in a number of USA Swimming meets. No matter your age, Dr. Young is an amazing local resource to learn and enjoy the sport of swimming.

My daughter took swim lessons from Buddy when she was in the 5th grade. He was a great instructor, who didn't just coach from the sideline, but got in the water with the students to actually demonstrate and provide assistance. He motivated the kids and always provided encouragement at each lesson. My daughter really enjoyed the sessions and the friends she met through the program.

I have 3 children who all swam for the Canyon Swim Team under Buddy Young's leadership several years back. Buddy has a gift for teaching in and out of the pool. He showed an enormous amount of patience with the kids and always with respect and kindness. My kids learned a lot about being a competitive swimmer all the while learning life lessons as well!
He was always encouraging the kids to be the best they could be in the pool and out of it. To this day my kids still reflect on their days of being on the swim team. Buddy truly created a lasting impact on them!

Coach Buddy is Amazing! My niece is 7 years old & he has been coaching her & she loves him! He makes it so comfortable for her! He knows exactly what to say to get the point across to her! Always patient! You can tell he loves what he does! Always willing to work with us with scheduling! Always on time! Makes it fun! We’re very blessed to have him as a swimming coach!

My grands, initially 2 & 7 are taking lessons from Buddy Young. I cannot recommend him enough. It is amazing how well they have done. What he has been able to do with the youngest I just couldn't believe. He gets him to listen and follow instructions and has various techniques to teach littles. The eldest is making great strides from just a dog paddler to swimming laps in the big pool. Buddy has such a way with the kids. Again, I cannot recommend him enough!!!!

Coach Buddy is the BEST! My daughter was terrified of the water. Day 1, coach Buddy not only got her in the water, but taught her to swim that very 1st lesson! He is so patient and great with kids. I wouldn't recommend anyone else! 10/10 best swim coach ever!!

​Coach Buddy is amazing!! We travel an hour each way for lessons with Coach Buddy, but we get more out of one session than an entire week of group lessons in our town. He has a ton of experience and handles our stubborn kiddo with patience and grace. Other moms always compliment how great of a swimmer we have, and we always refer to Coach Buddy!
